Nowadays the internet is a tool that could be used to keep people in touch. In these days there are no walls between countries. Everyone may move to a different city, region or country staying in touch with their relatives through the internet.
As a product of these days the webseries is a tele drama on the internet.
Everyone from every country could watch a webseries, you just need a computer and a connection to the web. The main advantage of watch a series on the internet is the fact that doesn't matter where are you and from where are you.
You have just to click on HYPERLINK "www.kunatu.com" and watch it.
Kunatu/Tempeste is the first srilankan webseries. Deshapriya Suranga Katugampala, the director, as a second generation boy, understood the complexity of life in an other country while your roots are elsewhere but you have grown up in Europe. As he said, the internet is a great tool, and we should use it to connect people. He is inside sri lankans who are living in Italy and the story of this webseries start here. He keeps on talking about the greatness of the idea of a webseries. In fact, in a kind of a cosmopolitan world we need to realise that a melting pot is a value, not a disadvantage.
The director decided to shoot it in Verona, Italy, showing life of srilankans there. Particulary the first actor is Manoj, a man who couldn't find a job, even if he has been living in Italy for three years. He is going to madness also because of some troubles in his family. The first actress is a srilankan girl grown up in Italy. She is attending university in Italy, we can consider her as a srilankan second generation girl. Her double nationality gives her a kind of schizofrenia. She doesn't know which is her home and she feels like she has a double home country. These two actors are like a mirror of immigration: in Europe you may find some srilankans who speak a perfect second languange and some others who are closed in their goal to return in Sri Lanka.
